Shearwater GeoServices joins Norway’s Centre for Geophysical Forecasting

Shearwater GeoServices has joined, as partner, the Centre for Geophysical Forecasting (CGF) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

CGF aims to create a world-leading research and innovation centre for geophysical forecasting and sustainable resource exploitation.

“Shearwater is a technology-led service provider committed to geophysics”,  said Irene Waage Basili, the CEO of Shearwater GeoServices.

“This partnership with CGF enables us to collaborate and develop solutions towards improved geophysical monitoring and forecasting with applications in and beyond the conventional hydrocarbon sector”.

Recently, Shearwater GeoServices won a contract from Petrobras to perform 3D and 4D monitoring for towed streamer seismic acquisition in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil.
