Shearwater said on Thursday that the one-month survey would be executed in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The company added that the survey would be executed using one of Shearwater’s highest capacity seismic vessels, with a 14-streamer configuration.

“Shearwater has a long track record in the region, and we are pleased to return for this survey,” said Irene Waage Basili, the CEO of Shearwater GeoServices.

“Our high-capacity seismic vessels enable efficient surveys which combined with the scale and flexibility of our fleet, have yielded a significant increase in utilization this year.”

In related news, Shearwater has recently received conditional letter of award for a 2D seismic acquisition and fast-track processing project by Total in South Africa. This will be Shearwater’s first project offshore South Africa.
