SgurrEnergy names Senior Advisor for business

SgurrEnergy, a UK-based renewable energy consultancy, has appointed David Blunt to a newly created position of Senior Advisor.

Blunt will be tasked with the development of new markets for the growing business, at the company’s headquarters in Glasgow Scotland, SgurrEnergy’s press release reads.

David joins SgurrEnergy after three years with the global wind energy company, Gamesa, most recently as Managing Director UK.

Blunt said: “I am delighted to be working alongside this dynamic and highly professional team in an economic sector which not only mitigates the dramatic threats from climate change but also brings real benefits to vulnerable communities, such as those struggling with inadequate energy supplies in many parts of the world.

SgurrEnergy is a renewable energy consultancy, providing engineering and technical advisory services in onshore and offshore wind, solar, wave and tidal, and hydro projects. It is part of the Wood Group, an international energy services company.
