SgurrEnergy forms partnerships for Chilean renewables

SgurrEnergy has teamed up with Coener and Mankuk to develop renewables opportunities in the Chilean market.

This strategic move will see SgurrEnergy, a UK-based renewable energy consultancy, combine its global renewables expertise with the local knowledge and experience of new partners, Coener and Mankuk, to provide services to drive forward the renewable energy market in Chile, SgurrEnergy’s press release reads.

According to SgurrEnergy, Chile holds significant potential for renewable energy development, especially in the wind and solar sectors.

Luis Ljubetic, Coener’s CEO, said: “This collaboration with SgurrEnergy will provide strength to our market offering and will enable us to bring a wider range of services to the developing Chilean renewables market. We are looking forward to exploring the possibilities that this partnership will bring.”

Chile presents an interesting market for wave energy developers as well.

In April, Carnegie teamed up with Fundación Chile to collaborate on the assessment of wave resources at various sites, for the development of commercial wave energy projects in chile.

SgurrEnergy is a renewable energy consultancy, providing engineering and technical advisory services in onshore and offshore wind, solar, wave and tidal and hydro projects. It is part of the Wood Group, an international energy services company.

Coener is a renewable energy consultancy that provides engineering solutions to clients on projects in Chile.

Mankuk is a consulting and management company focused on providing engineering, legal and environmental solutions to Chilean energy projects.
