Senesco Marine Inks Contract for Dry Dock Construction (USA)
Tom Johnson, Vice President of Senesco Marine Business Development, announced that his company, specialized in construction of double-hulled barges, tugboats, and other vessels, inked a contract for the construction of a 120 x 420-ft., 7300 long ton hauling capacity Dry Dock.
The order was placed by Caddell Dry Dock and Repair Company, Inc., of Staten Island, NY, who are the contract signatories, reports the Maritime Professional.
“We are pleased to announce the contract award by Caddell Dry Docks & Repair Co’s. new dry dock,” said Johnson.
As confirmed by Steve Kalil, President of Caddell, the order represents an immediate result of previous cooperation and Senesco’s delivery of a new dry dock in July of 2011.
“It was easy to execute the second new build given the quality and workmanship we experienced throughout the construction,” Kalil pointed out.
Senesco offers services of both construction and repair, and it is outfitted with programmable CNC plasma cutting machines, a full function panel line with a 110,000 sq ft fabrication building and 110,000 sq ft assembly building intended for the construction process.
Consisting of 26 acres of Narragansett Bay waterfront property, Senesco Marine has created a small but highly efficient shipyard capable of producing a vast array of vessels.
