A total of 11 vessels will transfer to Aurora Offshore as a part of its collaboration with Sea1, which changed its name from Siem Offshore in May 2024, and Siem Oil Services Invest.

The company announced in January that it had welcomed the first two vessels, anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels Siem Pearl and Siem Challenger, shortly followed by the takeover of the first high-end subsea vessel Siem Stingray.

Aurora Offshore now announced that the second of the three high-end subsea vessels had joined its fleet with the takeover of Siem Day completed at Las Palmas.

The offshore subsea construction vessel (OSCV), designed and equipped for subsea operation duties such as construction and installation work, inspection and maintenance, was built in 2013. It has a 250t AHC crane, 1,300 m2 deck area and accommodation for 110 people.

Siem Day is currently on term contract with DeepOcean, who allowed the takeover to be completed in between work scopes.
