Searcher Hosts DPE Delegate to Assist with PNG Seismic Data

Operations & Maintenance

Searcher Seismic, an independent provider of seismic data acquisition, has welcomed Department of Petroleum & Energy (DPE) representative, William Keket, to the Perth office.

Keket is visiting Perth as part of a training initiative between Searcher Seismic and the DPE and will be assisting Searcher’s geoscience team with the latest seismic data from Papua New Guinea (PNG).

To remind, in October Searcher started acquisition of the 11,000 km Hahonua 2D seismic survey in PNG. The survey is being acquired in cooperation with BGP.

Searcher’s data library in PNG has expanded over the last year, with over 40,000 km of new 2D seismic data acquired and a geochemical study well underway, the company said.
