Seanergy 2016 to foster international MRE collaboration

The fist Seanergy business conference will take place in Biarritz, France, at the beginning of June with the aim of developing strategic partnerships between marine renewable energy (MRE) sector players.

Seanergy 2016 will feature a number of discussions related to tidal and wave energy including the session on development similarities between tidal and wave sectors.

The session will feature Frédéric Le Lidec, Marine Energy Director at DCNS, Oliver Wragg, EMEC’s Commercial Director, Dorleta Marinea, Technical Director at bimep, as well as Jean-François Simon, President of HydroQuest, as speakers.

The conference will explore the role of coastal regions and overseas territories in MRE development, as well as offshore wind developments around the world, amongst other topics.

The conference, scheduled to take place on June 1-2, 2016, at Halle d’Iraty in Biarritz, also includes the exhibition space shared among regional companies, research and training bodies and institutions, with numerous B2B contacts expected to be made during the conference.
