Seajacks Supports Call to Commit UK to Low Carbon Power Sector by 2030

Seajacks has today joined 35 other green groups, faith bodies and energy developers to urge Members of Parliament to support the inclusion of a 2030 de-carbonisation target in the Energy Bill which is currently going through Parliament.

This follows on from Seajacks’ successful dinner in Parliament, attended by a number of prominent MPs, at which Seajacks urged them to support the inclusion of the target as well as ensure that offshore wind development has a strong element of UK content in order to boost industry and create jobs in the UK.

Blair Ainslie, CEO of Seajacks said: “We are supporting this campaign because we are firm believers that the UK needs to commit to this 2030 target in order to show that the UK is serious about tackling climate change. A de-carbonisation target in the Energy Bill will help to give certainty to investors and developers who will help us to create a low carbon power sector.”
