SEAI seeks new CEO

Ireland’s Public Appointments Service is seeking applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for the leadership and management of SEAI and will be accountable for the overall performance of the organisation in accordance with its statutory obligations and agreed targets, according to the Public Appointments Service.

The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization.

The appointment is for a fixed term contract of five years, and the applications are due by January 14, 2016.

To remind, former SEAI’s CEO Brian Motherway formally resigned from its post as on December 2, 2015. Motherway has taken up the role as Head of the Energy Efficiency Division with the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, France.

SEAI is Ireland’s national energy agency that aims to transform Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy structures, technologies and practices.
