SeaBird Gears for South America Shoot

Business & Finance

Oslo-listed SeaBird, a seismic data provider for oil and gas companies, has signed an agreement to provide a vessel for an upcoming 2D seismic survey in South America.

The project is anticipated to start in late December 2016 and will have a duration of approximately 45 days.

SeaBird will be using the Northern Explorer for the project. The M/V Northern Explorer, a 76 meters-long 2D/Source vessel, which joined SeaBird in 2005, was previously scheduled for a 2D long-offset survey in Belize, from mid-October 2016.

Financial details surrounding the deal have not been disclosed.
