SeaBird Embarks on Seismic Campaign Off Indonesia

Business & Finance

Miclyn Express Offshore (MEO)’s vessel Voyager Explorer has mobilised for a 5-7 month project in Indonesia, providing seismic source services to an oil company in the region.

The vessel has been re-flagged to Indonesian flag and chartered to long-time client SeaBird Exploration, who will be executing the seismic services.

“After a period of inactivity in the seismic sector, it’s great to see our seismic source vessel back in operation,” said Adam Clayton, Head of Business Unit. “She has undergone significant reactivation and upgrade to position her for future work and it’s great to be working with our long-term partners SeaBird Exploration in delivering seismic source services from this vessel once again. We hope to keep her active in the region after this project”.

Voyager Explorer is a 2D/3D seismic source vessel built in 2005. The vessel has a length of 67.8 meters, a beam of 16 meters and it can accommodate 47 people onboard.
