The vessel is jointly owned by SBM and Solstad Offshore and has been on a contract to SBM since 2006.

Solstad said on Tuesday that the contract had been extended from an original 105 days commitment – reported in August 2018 – to a one-year contract from January 2020, in direct continuation with present contract.

Namely, Solstad in August 2018 said SBM would charter the Normand Installer for at least 114 days of work in 2019 and 105 days in 2020.

The 123,65 meter-long and 28 meter-wide offshore construction vessel was built in 2006 by Ulstein Verft.
