SapuraKencana Clinches $215 Mln Worth of Contracts

SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad (SapuraKencana) has been awarded new contracts with a combined value of approximately USD 215 million.

The first contract awarded to a consortium of SapuraKencana TL Offshore and SapuraKencana HL by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is for the B127 cluster pipeline RTR project.

Under the contract the consortium will provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of 11 pipeline systems and associated topside modifications in B127 and surrounding Mumbai High fields located off the west coast of India.

The B-127 cluster comprises three marginal fields: B-127, B-157 and B-59 located North of Mukta and additional development of B-55 field.

As SapuraKencana informed, the contract should last for 20 months.

Furthermore, SapuraKencana Subsea Services has been awarded a project by Petronas for the provision of underwater maintenance services for Sepat mobile offshore production unit (MOPU).

The scope of work consists of inspection, maintenance, repairs, drilling support and other work for Petronas’ underwater facilities to be executed in offshore Peninsular Malaysia up to 2000 meters water depth, with diver intervention up to 300 meters.

The contract is for a period of approximately 2 months, the company noted.

In addition to these contracts, SapuraKencana Drilling Asia has been awarded a contract by Brunei Shell Petroleum for the provision of Tender Assist Drilling Rig SKD Pelaut.

The contract, for a firm period of 2 years with 2-year extension option, will allow Brunei Shell Petroleum to continue to use SKD Pelaut for its development drilling campaign offshore Brunei Darussalam.
