Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company awarded the contract, as stated in a filing to the Malaysian Stock Exchange.

The contract, which is call-out in nature with agreed unit rates, covers the provision of diving support vessel, air and saturation diving systems, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and related underwater services.

The undisclosed-value contract for supplying underwater services throughout Malaysia for Petronas group of companies and Petroleum Arrangement Contractors started on January 31, 2024, and is said to last until January 31, 2029.

In the Malaysia Bid Round 2023 (MBR 2023) that took place at the beginning of this year, production sharing contracts (PSCs) for six exploration blocks and one discovered resource opportunities (DRO) cluster were awarded, boosting investments in hydrocarbon exploration activities.

The seven PSCs were awarded to Petronas Carigali, E&P Malaysia Venture (EPMV), Petroleum Sarawak Exploration & Production (PSEP), SMJ Energy (SMJ Energy), Inpex Malaysia E&P, PT Pertamina Malaysia Eksplorasi Produksi, Jadestone Energy, Sarawak Shell, and E&P O&M Services (EPOMS).
