SHI signed a shipbuilding contract for one LNG carrier with compatriot shipping company Pan Ocean, the shipbuilder said in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday.

As informed, the deal has a value of KRW 199 billion (about $183 million).

The ship is scheduled to be delivered to its owner by 30 April 2023.

Since November 2020, SHI received orders for the construction of 20 LNG carriers. In the last days of December only, SHI unveiled three separate LNG carrier construction deals comprising a total of eight units.
