Saltwater Engineering said that Blue Quest was crafted to embody multifunctionality within a streamlined and efficient design. The company added that the new vessel design serves as a versatile platform, easily mobilized to suit a variety of offshore survey services.

The vessel is tailored for geophysical surveys, minor geotechnical works, and unexploded ordnance (UXO) identification and removal.

By integrating drones, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs), Blue Quest is said to deliver a complete inspection package for both floating and fixed-bottom offshore wind farms.

“We are incredibly proud to launch Blue Quest, a service vessel for the offshore wind sector, following Blue Sky. This vessel is a product of our commitment to innovation and sustainability in shipping. We invite everyone to attend the launch at the Offshore Energy exhibition”, said Sander Broekmeulen, CEO of Saltwater.

The official launch of Blue Quest will take place at our Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference 2024 (OEEC 2024) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. You can still buy your tickets for the event via this link!

During the two-day event, held on 26 & 27 November, attendees will have the opportunity to view the scale model up close.
