SAExploration Wins Asia Pacific Ocean-Bottom Marine Project

SAExploration has been awarded a new shallow-water ocean-bottom marine project in the Asia Pacific region for a major national oil company.

The contract is valued at approximately $28 million, the company informed.

Services to be provided will include data acquisition utilizing remotely operated vehicle (ROV)-deployed autonomous nodal recording technology in water depths up to 60 meters.

The project is expected to last approximately 55 days and will take place primarily during the fourth quarter of 2019.

SAExploration did not reveal the name of the client.

With the utilization of the latest OBN technology, SAExploration is capable of acquiring and processing 2D, 3D and 4D full azimuth and full wavefield seismic datasets, with either single (1C) or two-component (2C) or four-component (4C) sensing technology, in water depths from 0 to 3,000 meters.
