Report: Navig8 Adds More Ships to Orderbook in China

UK-based shipping company Navig8 Group has increased its orderbook with up to six more vessels, data provided by Asiasis shows.

The company reportedly exercised options for four tankers, each featuring 50,000 dwt, and two more Aframaxes.

Although financial details related to the orders were not disclosed, Asiasis listed 2019 as the year of delivery for the new ships.

The additional units would be constructed by China’s shipbuilding major New Times Shipbuilding.

On its website, Navig8 Group listed eight MR tankers which are currently on order at the shipyard. The data indicated that the units would join their owner one per month starting from April 2019.
