Brittany Ferries Bins LNG Conversion Plan

French ferry operator Brittany Ferries has cancelled plans to convert several of its vessels to LNG, also binning the order placed at STX France shipyard for an LNG fueled ROpax ferry, deciding instead to install scrubbers on the three ships originally marked for conversion, the company said in a release.(read more…)

Panama Canal Pilots Not Renegotiating Bargaining Agreement

The Panama Canal Pilots’ Union, a labor organization representing 256 professional pilots, has decided not to initiate renegotiation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement in 2014, a right afforded to the Union, and the ACP, under the current Agreement, the Union said in a release.(read more…)
