RBG Invests £3million to Boost Capability of its Offshore Diving Fleet (UK)

 

RBG is spending £3 million to improve its offshore diving fleet.

The Aberdeen company, which provides fabric maintenance and construction support for the energy industry, is adding two 15 metre crafts and two 8.5 metre support vehicles.

Each will include dedicated launch and recovery systems plus marine services to rigs, platforms and support vessels across RBG’s operation.

In addition RBG is chartering dive support vessel Olympic Triton to enhances its diving, remote operated vehicle and subsea capability.

Calum Buchanan, RBG’s marine and subsea director, said: “We are delighted to announce this latest investment in our subsea services capability.

“The new crafts will enhance our current fleet and bring significant benefits to our clients while the Olympic Triton highlights our ongoing commitment to provide consistently high standards of service throughout our global operations.

“Over the last year we have witnessed increasing demand for diving, ROV and inspection, repair and maintenance services.

“The outlook for 2011 is positive and by adding to our existing fleet we will ensure that we are well placed to capture new business opportunities both in the UK and internationally.”
