Radio Holland has received an order to renew the IT infrastructure on Jack-Up Barge’s vessel JB-115.

The order includes the design, installation and commissioning of the IT network with all necessary components and network security.

According to Radio Holland, JB-115 already has an IT structure on board, but it is no longer future-proof.

The project is expected to be completed before the end of February due to the vessel’s upcoming planned activities, the company said.

“The renewal of the IT structure on board of the JB-115 fits perfectly in the new developed Jack-Up Barge connectivity concept. Quite unique, we can provide high speed internet on board of all our barges when we are on the job location,” said Patrick van ‘t Zelfde, Procurement Manager Jack-Up Barge Operations.

Radio Holland previously provided the IT infrastructure, as well as communication, entertainment and other NavCom equipment, for the vessels JB-117 and JB-118. The company was recently requested to take over the support of the IT and communication equipment on board the JB-114.

“We already have a long relationship with Jack-Up Barge, working on various projects and platforms, and we have proven our knowledge of IT. It was a natural step that they invited us to quote for the IT network on board the JB-115,” Peter Kalisvaart, Account Manager IT on board at Radio Holland NL, said.

JB-115 features a 200t crane, a boom length of up to 90m, jacking and mooring systems and a helideck. It is capable of accommodating up to 110 persons.
