Qingdao Hanhe Cable has delivered the first lot of 220kV submarine cable for the Jinwan offshore wind project in China.

According to the China-based company, the cable was delivered on 5 March.

In total, Hanhe Cable will provide 34 kilometers of 220kV submarine cable and 76.92 kilometers of 35kV submarine cable.

The Zhuhai Jinwan project will comprise 55 MySE5.5MW turbines installed in an area covering about 44.5km2 located in the southern part of Sanzao Island, Zhuhai City.

The 300MW offshore wind farm is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

It is being developed by Guangdong Yudean Zhuhai Offshore Wind Power Co, a subsidiary of Guangdong Wind Power Co., Ltd.
