PSA Pleased with Eni’s Preparations for Goliat Start-Up (Norway)

During the period 11 – 13 March 2013, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Eni Norge AS’ (Eni’s) compliance with requirements for establishment and implementation of technical and operational barriers in the Goliat project.

The objective of the audit was to verify how Eni, through operations preparations, ensures compliance with preconditions for start-up and use of the rig, as well as requirements for barrier management in a lifecycle perspective.

No nonconformities were identified.

Improvement items were identified in connection with: Barrier management; Interaction and flow of information between the project and operating organisation; Maintenance management
