PSA Conducts Audit on Hammerfest LNG, Norway
During the period 23 October – 25 October 2012, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) conducted two audit activities on Hammerfest LNG.
One of the activities was directed at major accidents, and the other activity was related to the company’s work on identifying and following up groups potentially exposed to risk
Objective
The purpose of the audit was to verify that Hammerfest LNG has established a functioning management system to ensure that risks for groups of employees are identified, mapped and followed up, to achieve a prudent working environment and personnel safety. Management of capacity and expertise was also included in this audit.
Result
One nonconformity was identified in connection with hazardous chemicals.
One improvement item was also identified in relation to responsibilities for lessons learned in the analysis work.
