According to Prysmian, the certification follows an evaluation of the company’s initiatives in areas such as pay equity, recruitment, professional development, and workplace abuse prevention.

“This certification is a testament to our commitment to gender equality. We firmly believe that an inclusive and diverse work environment is essential not only for innovation but also for the progress of our company. This recognition is not a final destination, but an important milestone that motivates us to continue working in the right direction,” said Francesco Tutino, Chief HR & Organization Officer at Prysmian.

The certification acknowledges Prysmian’s dedication to work-life balance, parenting support, and the prevention of physical, verbal, and digital abuse in the workplace, the company noted.

“We are delighted to have certified Prysmian in accordance with UNI/PdR 125:2022, which attests to the adoption of a management system designed to safeguard against gender discrimination, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the well-being of its people,” added Emanuele Castagno, newly appointed Executive Vice President Certification of RINA.

“This achievement reflects the organization’s concrete efforts to foster an inclusive environment that values diversity and transcends stereotypes related to gender, identity, and expression. By attaining this certification, Prysmian embarks on a journey of continuous improvement that positively impacts both performance and reputation, demonstrating that economic growth and social progress can indeed go hand in hand.”

Just recently, Prysmian signed a framework agreement with the French transmission system operator (TSO) Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE) to provide submarine power cable links that will connect two offshore wind farms to the French transmission grid.
