The most read story of this past week is about the unions in the UK calling for the ‘Pieter Schelte’ vessel to have its name changed or not to work in the UK at all, as the vessel was named after a Nazi Germany’s Waffen-SS officer.

The second most read story was linked to the first one. Namely, the owner of the ‘Pieter Schelte’, Allseas told Offshore Energy Today that there would be no name change of the vessel.

You also read about Shell’s plans for the Brent field decommissioning, which lead to the workers’ outrage in the first place, as the vessel to be used for the job is the above mentioned ‘Pieter Schelte’. Also, Petrobras CEO resigned and, Statoil has new CEO.
