Polarcus said on Tuesday that it would, together with ARGAS, work to identify marine seismic opportunities and execute projects in the MENA region.

ARGAS provides regional expertise in land, transition zone, and shallow water seismic data acquisition and associated data processing.

Duncan Eley, Polarcus CEO, stated: “We are very pleased to collaborate with ARGAS in the MENA region. Leveraging the core strengths and capabilities of both parties will deliver enhanced imaging and a reduced exploration cycle to E&P companies in the region.”

Polarcus was earlier this year involved in a seismic project in the Middle East when its Vyacheslav Tikhonov vessel was hired by Dubai Petroleum for a combined towed streamer and ocean bottom node (OBN) 3D seismic acquisition and processing project.
