According to Allseas, the construction vessel is now preparing for a busy summer with multiple platform removal and installation jobs lined up, including its first in the offshore wind sector.

Over the next couple of months, Pioneering Spirit will transfer, install, remove and deliver structures to locations in the North and Irish Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

To remind, last year Allseas won a contract by Energinet for pipelaying work related to the installation of a new branch pipeline between Europipe II in the North Sea and the landfall at Houstrup beach in Denmark, as part of the Baltic Pipe project.

Pioneering Spirit was in charge of installing 100 kilometers of the Baltic Pipe pipeline in a 15-meter water depth.

The 477-meter long vessel recently received a second unique lift system capable of removing and installing complete offshore jackets weighing up to 20,000 tons in one go.
