The jacket for the central processing facility (CPF) on the Culzean field, located in the British sector of the North Sea, has been installed, Maersk Oil informed.

It follows the installation of the wellhead platform jacket  set up in May 2016.

The CPF jacket, set sail from Heerema Fabrication Group’s Vlissingen facility on June 28.

The deepwater construction vessel (DCV) Thialf installed the jacket which is approximately 115 meters tall and has a footprint of 38 x 38 meters with a top of 24 x 30 meters.

According to the latest update from Heerema, the third and the final jacket, the utility & living quarter platform (ULQ) jacket, set sail to the field on July 7.

Once all the jackets are in place this summer Maersk Oil expects the arrival of the topsides over the course of 2018.

Production from the high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) field is expected to start in 2019 and continue for at least 13 years.
