A collision between a support vessel and a Petrobras-operated floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit occurred off Brazil last Friday.

According to Petrobras statement, the collision happened between the P-35 FPSO, located in the Marlim field in the Campos Basin, and the support vessel during the procedure of supplying water to the unit.

The collision resulted in damage to a lifeboat but there were no injuries, and production was not affected. Petrobras said it would arrange the actions for final repair. A support vessel was placed near the unit.

The company added it has already informed the competent bodies and will investigate the causes of the event.
