Perdana finds work for four vessels

Business & Finance

Malaysian offshore marine services provider Perdana Petroleum has been awarded a contract for the supply of four vessels to compatriot integrated services provider, Dayang Enterprise.

Perdana has entered into four time charter party agreements with Dayang Enterprise Holdings, which is the major shareholder of Perdana Petroleum, for the supply of two accommodation workbarges and two anchor handling tug/supply vessels, according to Perdana’s Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday.

The agreements are for the duration of nine months with an option of three monthly extension, starting from March 1, 2018. The estimated contract value is approximately RM41.8 million ($10.4M).

The charter is related to the contract secured by Dayang for the provision of vessels for Baronia Rejuvenation CP 3 project under the maintenance, construction and modification contract with Petronas Carigali.

The charter is part of the strategic alliance between Dayang Enterprise and Perdana Petroleum where the utilization of its vessels can be maximized and qualified to bid for more offshore maintenance works.
