Pantheon Tankers Linked to Two More Tankers at STX

Greek tanker owner Pantheon Tankers has exercised the option for two more 50,000 dwt product oil and chemical tankers at Korean STX Offshore and Shipbuilding, according to Asiasis.

The two ships are said to be slated for delivery in the third quarter of 2019.

In September 2017, Pantheon Tankers signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with STX to order two firm plus two additional tankers from the yard. The newbuildings are scheduled for delivery in 2019.

The estimated price of each vessel is USD 33 million.

World Maritime News contacted Pantheon Tankers for more details on the matter, however, the company is yet to reply.

Based on the company’s website data, the shipowner’s fleet is comprised of twenty-one tankers, with two Aframaxes slated for delivery in 2018.
