Specialized in smart growth initiatives, new construction, planning and zoning issues, and real estate sales and marketing, Lyons brings 34 years of real estate business experience to OTE’s advisory board.

Among other activities, Lyons will provide guidance and support for OTE’s ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC)-powered EcoVillage Project, OTE said.

“The missions of the Sky Institute for the Future and Ocean Thermal Energy Corporation are perfectly aligned. I am thrilled to be part of the OTE team as we work to bring sustainable strategies in design, energy, town planning, and aquaculture and agricultural production to the Eco-Village communities across the globe,” said Lyons.

OTE’s EcoVillage concept entails a global network of carbon-neutral eco-resorts. Powered by OTEC clean energy, the concept is supported by integrated technologies for community benefit such as fresh water production, and aquaculture, amongst others.

The first OTEC EcoVillage is targeted for the US Virgin Islands where OTE has received regulatory approvals to develop the project.
