Oil Products Tanker Detained in Singapore

The 2012-built oil products tanker Angel Star has been arrested in Singapore waters, Supreme Court of Singapore’s data shows.

The 6,500 dwt vessel was detained in the morning hours of December 2, 2017.

The reason for the tanker’s detention was not disclosed.

Focal Investigation & Security Agency has been appointed for security and investigation purposes related to the arrest of the vessel which flies the flag of Singapore.

Operated by United Maritime, Angel Star, previously known as Anlong, currently has a market value of USD 8.24 million, VesselsValue’s data shows.

Following the arrest, the vessel was brought to 4511 Raffles Reserve.
