OES-ORJIP to Host Marine Energy Workshop in December

Research & Development

OES-Environmental (formerly Annex IV) and ORJIP Ocean Energy are setting up a marine-energy-related workshop on December 4, 2019.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide a state of the science on environmental effects of marine renewable energy and to examine pathways for determining data needs, monitoring requirements, and possible mitigation measures for working towards risk retirement of two stressors – electromagnetic fields (EMF) and underwater noise – for permitting small installations of tidal and wave energy converters.

Registration for the workshop can be done until November 1, 2019, at [email protected].
