Folkert completed his master’s degree in Offshore Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 2002 and has since been working for BP and Shell on multiple large offshore and onshore projects and sites. He spent time in engineering offices across Europe, floating production facilities in the North Atlantic, shipyards in South Korea and refineries in The Netherlands and Qatar. Folkert was Project Director during the tender phase for both wind farms of Hollandse Kust West and, following the win of site 6 by Ecowende, he is now carrying on in that role in the execution phase.
