Director at ECHT,  Board CoP Noordzee, Alliance Coordinator SDG14 Life below water

With over 28 years of experience in the offshore wind industry, Erwin Coolen is a senior advisor, board member, and social entrepreneur who initiates and implements innovative solutions for a sustainable blue economy.

As founder of OutSmart and former vice-president of Vestas, Erwin now leads ECHT, a transition bureau that collaborates with partners from the government, education, and business sectors to design and execute solutions accelerating the energy transition and the transition to sustainable and resilient cities. Erwin also has several board member functions, amongst others at the Community of Practice Noordzee (CoP), and as coordinator of Sustainable Development Goal 14 (life below water) on behalf of the Dutch government.
