OceanWorks International, a subsea solution engineering company, has appointed Glen Viau to the position of president, effective immediately.

Viau will be based out of the Vancouver, BC office and among his tasks will be the responsibility of adding to OceanWorks capabilities in submarine rescue systems, seafloor observatory systems, and subsea systems for the oil & gas market. He returns to OWI after 4 years in the oil and gas industry in Houston.

“Viau has over 24 years of experience at the forefront of the subsea technology industry with experience in management, design, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning of subsea equipment in more than a dozen countries.  He is a results oriented manager with a successful track record in completing projects and delivering complex subsea systems on schedule and within budget,” the company said in a press release.
