Under the three-year contract, the vessels will service the project’s turbines as they come into operation over the course of 2021.

The CTVs will be based in Klintholm Harbor on Møn, NOS said.

“In our choice of operator we have focused on both keeping costs low and the operational qualities of the vessel. Based on this we have landed on a solution with Northern Offshore Services,” said Erik Hiensch, Head of Offshore Operation & Maintenance Delivery at Vattenfall.

“Importantly, NOS were able to guarantee operation in higher waves and reducing the need for helicopter flights to service Kriegers Flak.”

Located 15-40km offshore, the 604.8 MW Kriegers Flak will comprise 72 Siemens Gamesa 8.4 MW turbines installed on monopile foundations.
