This is the company’s first office in the region, creating a strong local point of contact for sales and support, Nortek said.

The Port Melbourne office also gives Nortek a platform from which to extend its reach throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The team currently consists of Yarran Crichton and Harry Hughes.

Yarran Crichton, director of Nortek Australia, has many years’ experience of working with oceanographic equipment, collaborating closely with Nortek on product deployment and development.

Harry Hughes, sales engineer, recently joined the team and has ten years’ experience in various environmental consultancy roles, with a strong focus on marine-based surveys and metocean monitoring.

The response to our local office has been overwhelmingly positive when speaking to existing customers. Through these positive experiences and Nortek’s reputable customer service, we look forward to growing our customer base in existing, new and emerging markets,” Yarran Crichton said.
