The deal was announced by NOCC’s CEO via a social media update, stating that the new order is ramping up the company’s green fleet for the future.

The new vessel will be 199.9 meters long and have a capacity of 7,000 CEU. Data from VesselsValue shows that the ship is scheduled for delivery in late 2027. Additional details on the contact were not disclosed.

To remind, NOCC ordered two LNG dual-fuel PCTCs with a capacity of 7,000 CEU at CIMC Raffles shipyard in February 2024.

In addition to being able to run on LNG, the PCTCs will be capable of using ammonia as a fuel, as they will be constructed with DNV’s ammonia-ready notation.

At the time, the shipowner said the first vessel was slated for delivery in 2025. According to the company’s website, the second vessel is due for delivery in 2026.

NOCC was formed in 2010 through the amalgamation of Eidsiva Rederi ASA and Dyvi Shipping AS.

In 2014, NOCC was acquired by private equity investors and was delisted from the Oslo Stock Exchange. The company is today a private company and fully owned by a company advised by JP Morgan Global Alternative’s Global Transportation Group.
