According to NCT, the VARD 9 01 design CLV will be capable of providing turnkey array cable transport and installation scopes of work for the offshore renewable industry.

It will be a diesel-electric DP2 vessel, fitted with a hybrid battery package, single-cabin accommodation for 60 persons, two cable carousels with 3.500+ ton cable carrying capacity, and an innovative walk-to-work system.

Delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2024.
