Renewable Risk Advisers (RRA) has formed an alliance with Ocean Energy Advisors to develop products to support project finance for tidal stream, and other emerging technologies.

An insurance broker and risk management consultancy, RRA will work with project development advisory firm Ocean Energy Advisors to complement the activities of the Ocean Energy Forum, RRA informed.

RRA has also hired Richard Holmes as a consultant, who has worked for JLT Specialty’s renewable energy team, where he handled a variety of projects for infrastructure funds and marine energy, including tidal range, RRA informed.

Michael Bullock, Director of RRA, said: “Richard’s track record and network will be a great contribution to our growth into new markets while adding greater depth to the team. This extra capacity will also significantly enhance our ability to work with OEA to develop finance-oriented products to help ocean energy projects develop.”
