Operations & Maintenance

Neptune has been awarded a contract from Sea Trucks Group to support the Enap Sipetrol Argentina pipelay construction for the PIAM project.

The company will provide integrated survey, ROV and stabilization services for PIAM project in the Magallanes field, offshore Argentina.

The scope of work covers installation of three pipelines of various sizes ranging from 6 to 14 inch, with one shore approach, as well as the installation of tie-in spools and risers. It also includes abandonment of two existing lines and recovery of flexibles, the company said.

To support the scope, Neptune will provide survey services onboard both the Sea Trucks Jascon 34 vessel and the survey support vessel, the Far Scout.

Neptune’s light work-class Comanche ROV will provide support during construction and dive operations. Neptune will also provide bespoke concrete mattresses for pipeline crossing and protection, the company noted.

Mobilization of the Jascon 34 was completed in Batam, Indonesia in October 2016 ahead of dry-tow to Argentina where offshore activities are scheduled to start in December 2016.

Neptune chief executive officer, Robin King said: “We are delighted that, in the present difficult market, Neptune has been awarded this significant contract.”
