Neptune said on Friday that the campaigns were conducted under the ongoing service agreement with Oil Search.

Two survey campaigns were completed by Neptune’s Survey Service Line in November and December to conduct 3D sonar surveys and geophysical surveys of the field and its assets.

A two-month diving campaign to conduct underbuoy hose replacement, routine inspection and other works started on site at the Kumul Marine Terminal in early January 2019. The work was carried out from the POSH Mallard vessel, which was chartered by Neptune for the works.

The vessel was mobilized in Singapore, and subsequently sailed to Port Moresby to mobilize the construction crew and start work. This scope drew upon the personnel and expertise from a number of Neptune’s service lines – Diving, Survey, Engineering, Asset Integrity and Stabilisation.

Neptune’s service agreement with Oil Search allows OSL to call off diving, ROV, survey and other services as required, and provides a dedicated diving system permanently on stand-by in Port Moresby. The agreement has been in place since 2015 and has recently been extended beyond its initial term to 2022.

Neptune Chief Executive Officer, Robin King, said “Our agreement with Oil Search is a key contract for Neptune and the successful completion of this work highlights Neptune’s ongoing commitment to one of our major clients. The campaigns demonstrated how Neptune’s various services can be combined to provide the right solution for our clients.”
