National Oilwell Varco buys GustoMSC

Houston-based National Oilwell Varco (NOV) has acquired GustoMSC, a Dutch provider of design & engineering for mobile offshore units and equipment.

NOV is a provider of design, manufacture and sale of equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations.

In an email to Offshore Energy Today, a spokesperson for GustoMSC has confirmed the acquisition by NOV but has not provided further details about the transaction.

“We are excited to confirm this news,” the spokesperson said in a short statement.

Offshore Energy Today has also reached out to NOV seeking further details about the deal.
