The company will be carrying out the complete mechanical and electrical pre-assembly work for 72 wind turbines, including all crane and lifting operations, as well as ground transportation of nacelles, blades and towers.

The wind turbine pre-assembly hub for Kriegers Flak is located at Rønne Havn on the island Bornholm in the the Baltic Sea.

Offshore construction at the project site some 15-40 kilometres offshore is well underway. The final foundation at Kriegers Flak was installed in August, while cable installation and testing are expected to be completed soon.

The installation of Siemens Gamesa’s 8.4 MW wind turbines is expected to start early next year.

Vattenfall, the owner and developer of the project, plans to have the 605 MW wind farm fully up and running in 2021. Once commissioned, Kriegers Flak will become Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm.
