MPSV SPASATEL KAREV Arouses Interest at BALEX DELTA 2013

According to Federal Budgetary Enterprise «State Marine Emergency Salvage, Rescue and Pollution Prevention Coordination Service of the Russian Federation», multipurpose salvage vessel “SPASATEL KAREV” of MPSV07 project took part in international trainings for oil spills response “BALEX DELTA 2013”. The trainings were carried out on the way to port Warnemünde (Germany).

The vessel “SPASATEL KAREV” aroused keen interest among the participants and observers. Nevsky Shipyard (Vladimir Prudyus, Director General) delivered this multipurpose salvage vessel of ice class in October 2012. Nowadays, the vessel is the biggest and the most significant vessel built at the expense of Federal Target Program “Russian Transport System Development (2010-2015)”.

According to training script wrecking of the trawler “Seewolf” and the vessel “Spiekeroog» resulted in 2500 m3 black oil spill of IFO-180 in the sea water area. About 25 vessels from 9 Baltic countries, including the Russian Federation, which were presented by the vessel “SPASATEL KAREV”, participated in cleaning of spill effects.

The second vessel in the series “SPASATEL KAVDEJKIN” is carrying out the Sea Trials. The third vessel “SPASATEL ZABORSHCHIKOV” has already been launched. The fourth vessel is under construction.
