MMT to Survey Algeria – Spain Subsea Pipeline

Marine survey specialist MMT has entered into a contract with Medgaz in Spain for inspection of the offshore pipeline between Algeria and Spain.

The project will be performed within the joint venture agreement between MMT and Reach Subsea utilizing the vessel Edda Fonn.

The pipeline transports gas from Algeria to Spain and crosses the Mediterranean at a maximum depth of 2,155 metres of water.

The inspection work will be performed in February 2017.

“The project is important for MMT and Reach and demonstrates that their significant investments in personnel and technology for pipeline inspection projects have been successful,” the company said in a press release.

Reach Subsea on Wednesday said it has entered into an ROV/survey contract for the vessel Edda Fonn.

The Oslo filing said that the new contract detatil were confidential, except that it covers the next 40 days and that it is set to start this week.
